SKILLS

COMBUSTION

Constant combustion will allow pollution reduction and enhanced thermal efficiency, We can work on these different areas:

  • Coal energy plant
  • Biomass energy plant
  • Incineration: household, industrial and hospital waste
  • Co-incineration of waste and sludge
  • Baking and drying of industrial products
  • Air conditioning in industries, offices and shopping centers

REDUCTION OF FOULING OF BOILERS

According to the problem, we can propose following techniques:

  • Thermodynamical system
  • Chemical system
  • Mechanical system

REDUCTION OF NITROGEN OXIDES

Different systems can be used. Depending on the targets, those systems can be combined to reach the objective “200” (mg/ Nm3 at 11% d’O2 on dry) without urea and “80” without a catalyst.
The result is obtained by first reducing the nitrogen oxide formation during combustion, and if necessary, by a chemical destruction. To reach these goals we can apply the following techniques:

  • Air stepping with ECOTUBE system
  • Flue gas recycling
  • Atomisation and water injection
  • SNCR with urea or ammonia injection
  • Combination of the different systems

Furthermore, we can optimize existing SNCR and SCR systems.

INCINERATOR ADAPTATION AND FURNACE ADAPTATION IN CASE OF SMALL LOAD

The waste treatment evolution often implies a tonnage reduction, sometimes a higher Low Calorific Value and even a lack of waste.
We offer to optimize the incinerator operation and its energy recovery for lower waste quantities and higher calorific values and also for lack of furnace load.

ENERGY OPTIMIZATION

The increase of energy costs and of regulation modifications (carbon balance,… ) all prompt us to improve energy use. We have to spend less energy and to recover more. We offer to:

  • Increase energy recovery
  • Reduce fuel  consumption within an industrial process
  • Optimize the cooling and fuel costs in shopping centres and industries

REDUCTION OF GASEOUS POLLUTANTS

Extensive experience in the treatment of flue gas with bag filters, scrubbers, electrostatic precipitators, allows us to solve operational problems and optimize existing systems: dry, semi-dry or wet for the following pollutants:

  • Dust
  • HCl
  • HF
  • SO2
  • Dioxins
  • NOx, NH3
  • Heavy metals, etc.

LEGIONNAIRES' DISEASE TREATMENT IN THE TERTIARY SECTOR AND INDUSTRY

Legionella is a bacterium whose natural development is optimum around 37 °C. It appears in the cooling towers and hot water circuits. We offer various processes to reduce or eliminate risks.

  • Network modification
  • Thermal shock
  • Use of an adiabatic tower
  • Replacement of evaporation towers by air coolers

PRODUCTS

In addition to the standard systems, we offer new systems:

ECOTUBE SYSTEM (ECOMB)

For reducing nitrogen oxides or improve combustion with or without recycling to reach:

  • 200 mg/Nm3 at 11% d'O2 on dry before IC. (SNCR swithout chemical)
  • 80 mg/Nm3 at 11% d'O2 on dry before IC. (SCR performance at SNCR cost)

For applications outside DeNOx, this system allows reagents injection in the center of the combustion area.
